Disclaimer : This Top - list is only on my opinion and is only made up of sports blogs that I read and is not intended to formally rank up the following websites / blogs.
1.) Rappler
2.) Powcast
3.) SportsBlog
4.) TheGuardian
5.) GameFace
2.) Powcast
3.) SportsBlog
4.) TheGuardian
5.) GameFace
1.) Rappler
Rappler is more of a general Blog containing tabs for Current News, Business News, Life&Style, Entertainment, Sports, and Tech. For me, that's a very efficient website/blog containing more than just one subject, but still easy to access each news, and each news are well divided. The stories also varies in content as some are foreign while some are local. The writing is also compelling and will leave you wanting more as they write their own reviews on certain news while they also write the athlete / peoples comments and statements in each story.
2.) Powcast.net Sports Hub
Powcast is an up and coming blog site containing local sports news in the Philippines, but don't get me wrong, they also include certain major foreign news in their blog. The blog site is quite easy to use and entertaining layout showing a mosaic style of news showing a slide or marquee like bar on top for the recent news, and also the featured pages emphasized in the homepage. The news list is fixed in an orderly fashion of when it was published with labels on top of them for which general sport it is for. There is also a neat feature on the right hand sidebar showing Powcast sports tweets, and the popular posts in the blog.
3.) SportsBlog
SportsBlog is a foreign blog and for me it only placed at this spot because I don't really have that much enthusiasm with foreign sports with their local games, matches, and small changes. The layout is something quite fascinating showing a certain news emphasized in the homepage together with 4 other in its bottom part. The new stories are listed in a line below, easy to access, complete with the date published, and even a voting mechanics. There are also recent sports news listed at the right hand side bar coming from other blogs connected to SportsBlog.
4.) TheGuardian
TheGuardian is yet again another foreign blog with somewhat a general news feeling containing various news about various sports such as football, cricket, rugby union, tennis, golf, cycling, boxing, and racing. The other tabs also contains opinion news, business, lifestyle, fashion, environment, tech and travel. For me, it is also a very efficient way to compact a blog into one without compromising its looks, and accessibility much like Rappler, although it's foreign for me and also most news in the home page doesn't have a publish date unless you read the story itself making it place in my 4th spot.
5.) GameFace
For GameFace.ph I wasn't able to get a logo for it as their logo is animated, which is quite entertaining actually. The site itself offers more than just sports news showing Entertainment & Lifestyle, Nationhood & Affairs, Wealth Opportunities, Toys for the Big Boys and Lovely Girls, and About them placed in their menu tab. Upon entering the website, you will immediately notice the changing background of their logo plus the slideshow of images about their recent news. The problem lies in its layout and format, for me it was pretty cheesy, and the blog news are just tied together, placed in a box and that's it. The website also acts as a forum site which is quite different from a blog but can also be an advantage as it can make them interact with their readers, but in my opinion forums and blogs don't really mix together as why people make it separately.
