For this summer term I needed to find a company for my OJT subject and luckily, my classmate was able to find one and so the five of us went to Powcast Sports for our On the Job Training. I'm not really a sports enthusiast, i haven't even able to play that much sports as I have asthma and it affects the capacity of fatigue my body can handle. Powcast gave me the opportunity to work on a company, attend sports events, and create articles even at home. We were required to post 2 articles a day for the Powcast managed Facebook pages, this gave me pressure and the feeling that I am still working despite being at home.
Whats more, Powcasters are to attend and coverage the events, this made me leave home and travel to many places to attend each events I was assigned on. It takes hours of travel to get to an event and hours again to get home. Attending events was really tiring for me but still these events really gave me the idea of how the community really works. The events give me the opportunity to meet people and learn more of what I will need and might need for my future endeavors. The events are not only informative but also fun and amusing. Even me, a person who isn't too sports inclined were able to enjoy each and every event I was able to attend.
My Experience in Powcast gave me the insight of how the media works, and hat preparations each event does to create the perfect stage. This training really taught me a lot in the many aspects of working, it taught me that connections are important as these can be a great asset for your future efforts and problems as well as a way to acquire the materials I need as a Photographer and the skills I need as a Graphics Designer.
